about
The Message is the second release from the Atlantic Muffin Project. It is as much about climate change and the future as it is about the pandemic.
The Message captures the history of Covid 19 during spring 2020, which is when the song was written. The words were frozen at that time to more accurately capture what was happening then.
It is dedicated to all the frontline workers who continue to save lives of those who have contracted this awful disease.

The Message
By R. Jacob
The world stopped suddenly without a plan, are you wearing your mask, washing your hands? A global pandemic spreading like a fan, causing confusion all across the land.
Covid 19 is upon us all, economic damage will be really tall, but the birds are chirping and the sky is clear, perhaps ‘tis the message we all need to hear. An uncertain future lays in our path how we proceed could be life or death
Schools all closed most businesses too, kids at home with nothing to do, then online classes became a thing as everyone did the social distancing. Doctors and nurses put it on the line, doing their jobs keeping people alive Deaths still rose at a steady rate, people mourned alone there were no wakes
Covid 19 is upon us all, economic damage will be really tall, but the birds are chirping and the sky is clear, perhaps it is a message we all need to hear. An uncertain future lays in our path how we proceed could be life or death
Message from the top was not really clear, it served to fill the people with even more fear. Are things getting better or getting worse? every day set us on a different course. Many stayed inside missing their peers, days seem like weeks, months like years; those out of work started baking bread, everyone wondered would it ever end?
Covid 19 is upon us all, economic damage will be really tall
But the birds are chirping and the sky is clear, perhaps it is a message we all need to hear. An uncertain future lays in our path how we proceed could be life or death
Then came protests over lockdowns, people cried “tyranny!” from capitol grounds. Days of normal seemed so far away, would sports teams ever be allowed to play?
Is the plague of the century here to stay? No one know for sure so maybe I’ll pray. Lets hope we rebound better than before, lessons have been learned they’ll be many more
Covid 19 wasn’t in the plans, are you wearing your mask; washing your hands? But the birds are chirping and the sky is clear, perhaps it is a message we all need to hear Perhaps it is a message we all need to hear, perhaps it is a message we all need to hear.
